Job summary

Hampstead Preschool of the Arts in Hampstead, NC is seeking a Floater to support the lead teacher. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm. A high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that encourage each child's growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and apply improvements for program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe classroom environment.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and navigate activities around small children.
