Job summary

Hampstead Preschool of the Arts is seeking a flexible floater to join our licensed childcare center in Hampstead, NC. The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm, with compensation of $15-$17 per hour based on experience and education.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom activities in line with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that support growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and make improvements to enhance program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe classroom environment.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Assistthe lead teacher with all aspectsof the classroomin a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activitiesthatencourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative,and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism,and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Createandmaintainan environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family toprovidequality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
