Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking a Floater Assistant Preschool Teacher to support a Head Start classroom serving 3-5 year-olds. You will collaborate with the Preschool Teacher to maintain a supportive, child-centered learning environment and help children develop socially and academically.

Fall 2026 start, on-site at the Dunbar center in Laurel, DE, offering $16.60 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• CDA credentials, or willingness to enroll to complete within two years.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in any field is acceptable.
• Enrollment in a program to obtain a degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a child-centered curriculum to encourage positive social interaction and active engagement.
• Address challenging behaviors by observing causes and teaching social/communication skills.
• Document progress with observations to individualize curriculum and share with families.
