Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist - Floater in Columbia, SC for a 1-month contract. The onsite role involves drawing quality blood samples, labeling correctly, and maintaining patient comfort in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include following procedures, documenting accurately, and collaborating with area supervisors. Travel to multiple locations may be required; weekends and flexible hours possible.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.
