Florence Bank seeks a Float Teller to handle customer transactions with accuracy and courtesy. The role is housed in the Main Office, Florence, MA, with travel to 13 branch locations as needed. Expect hourly pay in the $17.80 to $22.54 range, plus a compensation differential when traveling to locations outside the Main Office.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, strong math ability, and solid customer service and communication skills, with comfort using current technology.

• Promotes bank products and services and refers customers to appropriate associates.

We are currently seeking candidates to join our exceptional team for the following position:

Job Title: Float Teller
Location: Housed inMain Office, Florence, MA
Travel: Must be able to travel to all 13 locations as needed
Salary Range: $17.80 to $22.54
*Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. The posted range is intended to provide a general estimate and does not guarantee a specific rate of pay.
Traveling Differential: $1.00 hourly differential on top of base rate when traveling to locations outside the Main Office

Position Summary

Handles various customer transactions in a courteous, professional, and accurate manner, while adhering to bank policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.
• Consistently meets expectations of teamwork, punctuality, and regular, reliable attendance.
• Performs a variety of teller duties including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, cash advances, and issuing money orders and official checks.
• Operates and balances a cash drawer daily.
• Processes night deposit bags following bank guidelines.
• Participates in the balancing of ATMs.
• Creates awareness about bank products and services and refers customers to appropriate employees.
• Attempts to answer and/or resolve customer inquiries/problems.
• Protects the confidentiality of non-public personal information while maintaining a focus on fraud prevention.
• Maintains a working knowledge of the BSA requirements and related policies and procedures.
• Travels between and works from multiple branch locations as assigned to meet staffing and operational needs. Maintains flexibility and adaptability while providing consistent service and support at all branch locations.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

The following skills, experience, or background are necessary (with or without accommodation) for this position.

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements

• General office environment.
• Stands for an extended period (up to 7.5 hours per day).
• Counts cash/coin for an extended period (up to 6 hours per day).
• Uses computer keyboard for an extended period (up to 3 hours per day).
• Carries bags of coin (up to 25 pounds).
• Ability to wear head set for an extended period to communicate with drive-up customers.

Equipment Used

• General office equipment.

In addition to being responsible for completing an accurate CTR, Tellers are responsible for properly identifying all bank customers in accordance with the bank’s Customer Identification Program.

All employees handling customer accounts and transactions have a duty to report apparent suspicious activity and OFAC matches to the BSA Officer and the Security Officer.
