Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.
• 3 years of experience in critical care.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identifies barriers to learning, incorporating patient education into daily activities.
• Documents admission assessment, reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use, monitoring outcomes.
• Utilizes information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patient condition; prioritizes assignments.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at bedside and during interprofessional rounds.
• Recognizes patient needs and integrates care; knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral.
• Includes pain management and supportive care in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe, clean environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
