Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center in Bucks County seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Float Team in Telemetry. This full-time, day-shift position supports patient care with a 7:00 am–7:30 pm schedule on a 12-hour rotation, located at St.

Mary Medical Center. The RN will assess learning needs, document assessments and plans, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure infection control standards are followed.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school
• PA RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• 3 years of critical care experience

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs and integrates patient education into daily care.
• Documents admission assessments, reassessments, plans and interventions.
• Uses the information system to communicate patient status and coordinate care.
• Transfers patient responsibility and information during rounds and handoffs.
• Recognizes patient needs and provides individualized care with safety in mind.
• Incorporates pain management and supportive care into the care plan.
• Maintains infection control standards and a safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Registered Nurse, you will

• Assesses learning needs, readiness to learn and identify actual or potential barriers to learning and thereby incorporating the patient's education into daily activities based on age, cultural and spiritual values.
• Documents admission assessment / reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use and monitors its effects and outcomes according to policy.
• Utilizes the information management system to enhance communication and documents change in-patients condition to all appropriate individuals. Prioritizes work assignment based on changing situations.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care and knowledgeable in abuse recognition and referral
• Includes pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care and by promotes and maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
