Job summary

LearnWell in New Jersey is seeking a full-time teacher to work with child and adolescent students in behavioral health facilities. You will plan and deliver daily lessons, provide individualized support, and regularly report student progress to the team.

Class sizes range from 8 to 15 students; travel between Bergen, Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken and Summit is required. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30–4:00, with a generous benefits package including PTO, holidays, paid school breaks, and

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. or equivalent in education or related field.
• NJ State standard teaching license is required.
• Experience with K-12 students is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in New Jersey on a full-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in fast-paced behavioral health facilities, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00pm.This position requires travel between Bergen, Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken and Summit, NJ.
