Job summary

Marklund is hiring a full-time Float School Nurse in Illinois, alternating between Elgin, Geneva, and Bloomingdale campuses. 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, four days a week. LPN pay range $29.25–$34/hr; RN pay range $31.25–$36/hr based on qualifications and experience. New grads welcome to apply.

The role coordinates with staff, families, and healthcare providers to support a comprehensive school health program that enables educational opportunities for students with profound disabilities.

Qualifications

• RN (BSN) registered and in Illinois Health Care Worker Registry.
• Current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers.
• Proficient in First Aid.
• IDPH certification to perform annual vision screening preferred.
• Prior nursing experience in a school setting desired.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications.
• Tube feedings and treatments as prescribed.
• Prepare annual health history for students.
• Attend student IDT and IEP meetings as needed.
• Complete daily health documentation.

Skills

RN licensure in IL

BLS CPR for Healthcare Workers

First Aid proficiency

Vision screening per IDPH

School nursing experience preferred
