Job summary

UPMC Travel Staffing is seeking full-time, permanent Registered Nurses to join the System Float Team. You will rotate to a new UPMC facility roughly every six weeks across Pennsylvania, New York, and Western Maryland, delivering patient care in Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department units.

Qualifications

Active RN license required.
Experience in Medical-Surgical and Emergency Nursing.
Ability to rotate to multiple facilities and adapt quickly.
Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in assigned UPMC facilities and units.
Rotate assignments approximately every six weeks, with redeployment as needed.
Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving in patient care.
Communicate patient status changes with physicians and healthcare team.
Follow hospital policies, infection control, and confidentiality requirements.
Build effective working relationships across diverse clinical environments.
Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
