Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse (MNA) to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients from infancy through old age in a dynamic float pool setting.

The role requires a Nursing degree, RN licensure in Massachusetts, and BLS/ACLS certification, with the ability to obtain a BSN within four years. The schedule is 36 hours, 7p-7a, every other weekend, and applicants must be capable of lifting and moving patients and using computer systems.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree required: diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required
• Experience: Requires previous RN experience.
• Certification/Licensure: MA RN license, BLS, ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across age groups from infant to elderly.
• Incorporate patient rights, mission, vision, and values into nursing practice.
• Maintain health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort.
• Must be able to lift, transfer and move patients; communicate in English; perform required mathematical computations for treatment protocols.
