Boston Medical Center in Brockton, MA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool. The 36-hour schedule covers 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., every other weekend. The role requires a Massachusetts RN license and BLS/ACLS.
You will provide care across ages, from infants to the elderly, adapting to various needs and ensuring safety and quality while maintaining the hospital's values.
Candidates should have nursing diploma/ASN/BSN, with BSN preferred, and prior RN experience.
Registered Nurse – Float Pool (36 hours, 7a‑7p and 7p‑7a, every other weekend)
The Float Registered Nurse provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non‑English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. The Float Registered Nurse incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision, and values into nursing practice. The Float Registered Nurse assumes full and ultimate responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to individuals and groups, including health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, and restoration of optimal functioning and comfort or the dignified death of those they serve. Within the parameters of his/her education and continuing education experience the Float Registered Nurse may delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses and/or health care personnel, but shall bear full and ultimate responsibility for the patient outcomes. The Float Registered Nurse must have excellent assessment skills, clinical skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge and charge capabilities. The Float Registered Nurse must be able to lift, transfer and move patients, communicate verbally and in writing in English, and complete mathematical computations required for treatment protocols.
$38.10 – $77.63 per hour, based on qualifications.
