Job summary

The Good Shepherd Community is seeking an RN Float in Sauk Rapids, MN to support Assisted Living and Home Care services. You will assist with care plans, coordinate with physicians, supervise nursing staff, and ensure accurate medication administration and documentation.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and ongoing staff education within a compliant nursing environment. Requires MN RN license and active CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Must hold current RN license in Minnesota.
• CPR and AED (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute hospital or equivalent.
• Demonstrates professional behavior and judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Demonstrates leadership skills necessary for nursing supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs in developing and updating person-centered plans of care.
• Coordinate care with physicians and staff, updating plans as needed.
• Provide nursing supervision to licensed/unlicensed staff.
• Monitor and direct medication administration and documentation.
• Engage in QAPI initiatives and staff education.
• Lead RN on-call processes and respond to calls.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate with families.
