Job summary

The Good Shepherd Community in Becker, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the Assisted Living program as Director. You will hire, coach and supervise staff to deliver compassionate, professional resident care and ensure high service standards.

This full-time role emphasizes program operations, budgeting and compliance with MDH/DHS licensure, coordinating services to meet resident needs, and building a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Current MN Licensed Nurse preferred.
• Assisted Living Director in Residency required to obtain upon hire and Licensed Assisted Living Director License obtained within 1 year of hire.
• 3-years' experience working with older adults.
• 3-years' experience with direct supervision of staff preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational, leadership, professional interpersonal communication skill both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English in both verbally and in writing.
• Must have proficient computer skills.
• Project, program, and budget development experience.
• Must be able to work independently, have strong organization skills, be self-motivated and ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must have a current, valid Driver's License with no driving violations within the standards of Good Shepherd's insurability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes/assessments of residents as needed to determine needs and services.
• Coordinate with Social Service Intake Coordinator and Assisted Living RN to develop a plan of action to fulfill resident needs.
• Ensure services are provided as detailed in the plan of care/service agreement at the time of admission and as needs change.
• Set a professional standard of positive leadership in daily coaching, training and communication.
• Participate in the hiring/orientation process for new staff and coordinate/participate in all training.
• Ensure adequate 24-hour staffing to meet the needs of resident.
• Ensure Life Enrichment services are provided as scheduled to meet resident needs.
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
