Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Clinical Resource Unit Float Pool. The role involves floating to Med Surge Tele ICU and ER with scheduled hours from 7am to 7pm. It requires an active IL RN license, at least 1 year of clinical RN experience, and a commitment to quality and safety.

The position is full-time with holiday and weekend rotation. A BSN is preferred and the facility offers a competitive benefits package and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Must have active RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in clinical nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to float to other CRU units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication and interprofessional collaboration.
• Pursues ongoing professional development and maintains licenses.
