Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Registered Nurse for the Clinical Resource Unit (Float Pool) at Advocate Sherman Hospital. The role involves float to Med Surge Tele ICU and ER, with 7am–7pm shifts, full-time status, and rotating holidays and weekends. Must have RN experience and be licensed.

The department emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, and collaborative care across units. The position requires BSN preferred and active RN license in the applicable state.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where RN provides patient care.
• Telehealth licensing requirements apply as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and delegation within the team.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making; supports unbiased patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed personnel.
