Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to float across multiple departments and specialties, caring for complex patient populations in medical, surgical, and IMC units.

The role requires a BSN preferred and WI RN licensure with current CPR/BLS and ACLS within 6 months. You will mentor students and participate in governance and quality initiatives to support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Six (6) months nursing experience in inpatient units or current UW Health Nurse Residency Program completion.
• Relevant RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float across multiple departments and specialties delivering care in medical, surgical, and IMC units.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care using critical thinking and timely interventions.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams and delegate tasks as needed.
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor for new nurses and students and participate in governance and quality initiatives.
