Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Night Shift Float Nurse for UW Medical Center Northwest in Seattle. The role supports multiple inpatient acute care units, with cross-training opportunities across departments including ED, ICU, and behavioral health.

3x12 night shifts with rotating weekends, providing bedside care and flexible unit assignments. The position requires 3+ years of acute care nursing, BLS, and an active WA RN license.

Qualifications

• 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Active RN licensure to practice in Washington State.
• Exposure to behavioral health nursing or willingness to learn the fundamentals of behavioral health nursing.

Responsibilities

• Identify care needs across a broad spectrum of hospital departments.
• Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor.
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs.
• Restore patients’ health by following evidence-based nursing practices.
