Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. You will experience multiple units and specialties, delivering safe patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with care teams.

The role requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and the ability to float to two or more units. BSN preferred. Night shifts 7:00pm–7:30am; 12-hour blocks; sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for employees floating to Women’s Services.
• TNCC within 12 months of hire for employees floating to Emergency Department.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Responsibilities

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License

• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. (Only required for floating into E.R., O.R., PACU, Day Patient.)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
