Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Resource Pool (Float) Registered Nurse to deliver foundational, knowledge-based care while developing technical skills.

The role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care across age groups and coordinates education, self-management, and satisfaction for patients in multiple units. The position requires current US RN licensure, graduation from an ACEN/CCNE-accredited program, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in basic written and spoken English.
• Graduate of a nursing program accredited by ACEN/CCNE.
• Current valid RN license in at least one US state or DC.
• May qualify for temporary GNT appointment while pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in multiple units.
• Formulate and implement a plan of care based on assessments.
• Delegate elements of care to appropriate team members.
• Administer medications and procedures per policy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
