Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN Float Pool to deliver quality nursing care across various units. The role offers ad hoc assignments, requiring flexibility and collaboration with the healthcare team to meet professional standards.

Minimum education is a nursing degree with BSN preferred; at least 2 years of acute care or telemetry experience is required, along with Vermont licensure and BLS. ACLS may be required per subsidiary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• 2 years experience in an acute care or specialty nursing setting including telemetry experience.
• Licensed in the State of Vermont.
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
• BCLS Certified; must satisfactorily complete ACLS course according to subsidiary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process.
• Available for assignment to duty on an ad hoc basis and in a various potential nursing units, usually to assist in times of unusually heavy workloads or to assume the duties of absent nursing personnel.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
• Carries out functions according to medical center policy, mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.
