Job summary

BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an experienced Float RN for its 65+ inpatient units. This full-time role offers 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) and a $15/hour float differential plus shift differentials.

You’ll provide direct patient care across diverse units, expanding clinical expertise in a Magnet-designated academic medical center. Ideal candidates have a current RN license, 2+ years of acute care experience, strong judgment and communication, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a variety of clinical settings.
• BSN or currently enrolled in a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
