Float Nurses stay current on education and best practices while delivering high-quality patient-centered care wherever needed. The position includes a $15/hour float differential and opportunities for growth within BJC HealthCare.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a variety of clinical settings.
• BSN or currently enrolled in a BSN program
• Previous float pool experience

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care across multiple inpatient units within Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness, home care needs and medications.
• Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with defined goals.
• Communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.
