Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Respiratory Care Professional to join the interdisciplinary team for nightly staffing in ICUs, EDs, and floors across its hospitals. You will support safe patient care, ensure environment readiness, and participate in discharge planning while collaborating with physicians and families.

The role requires graduation with RRT credentials (diploma/associate) and a Georgia license; BLS and PALS timelines apply.

Qualifications

• 6 months of RCP experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Neonatal-Pediatric Specialty credential preferred.
• 2 years of RCP experience preferred.
• Graduation from an approved diploma or associates degree program with the RRT credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care in ICU, ED, and Medical/Surgical floors.
• Promote safe patient care and a safe environment; ensure Joint Commission readiness.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with the team using SBAR and with physicians during transfers and discharge.
