Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive pediatric patient care within a safe, high‑quality environment.

Requirements include active Georgia Respiratory Care Practitioner license, NBRC RRT credential, 1 year of RRT experience, and a BS in Respiratory Therapy; BLS within 30 days and PALS within 1 year. You will participate in planning, documentation, and education across the patient continuum.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Licensed in Georgia as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• BLS vaccination within 30 days of employment; PALS within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Integrates evidence and research findings into clinical judgement and practice.
• Participates in monitoring activities to maintain a culture of safety.
• Identifies and communicates hazards and errors.
• Participates in quality and process improvement activities to improve patient outcomes.
• Ensures equipment is in working order to provide safe patient care.
• Utilizes resources to plan and provide respiratory care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible.
• Applies knowledge and policy interpretation to practice.
