Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Night shift. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care services.

A Georgia license as a Respiratory Care Professional and NBRC RRT credential are required, with BLS within 30 days and PALS within 1 year. Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program is required, with BSRT preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license in the state of Georgia as a Respiratory Care Professional
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of employment

Responsibilities

• Participates in interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care services.
• Integrates evidence and research findings into clinical judgement and practice.
• Provides oversight for respiratory care given by unlicensed personnel while retaining accountability for patient care quality.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate for identified learning needs.
• Contributes to a supportive and healthy work environment.
