Responsibilities

  • Float to other dialysis clinics in the region during and after training.
  • Coordinate ESRD patient care and services, including lab value trends and vital signs.
  • Ensure the clinical team delivers safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Complete training at an assigned facility or another training clinic.
  • Build long-term relationships with outpatient dialysis patients and families.
  • Participate as a central member of a small interdisciplinary clinical team.
  • Deliver individualized care to patients with multiple co-morbidities.
  • Oversee a group of patients with support from PCTs.
  • Conduct patient observations, measure statistics, and perform machine setup.

Job description

  • Float to other dialysis clinics in the region during and after training
  • Coordinate ESRD patient care and services, including trending lab values, tracking vital-sign metrics, weight, and outcome management
  • Ensure the clinical team delivers safe, comfortable, and high-quality patient care
  • Complete training at an assigned facility or another training clinic
  • Build long-term relationships with outpatient dialysis patients and their families
  • Participate as a central member of a small interdisciplinary clinical team
  • Deliver individualized care to patients with multiple co-morbidities
  • Oversee a group of patients with support from PCTs

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with head, heart, and hands
Requirements
  • At least 18 months of registered nursing experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for a nursing degree
  • Completed training approved by the medical director and governing body as required by CMS guidelines before operating the water treatment system
  • Willingness, desire, and ability to supervise required
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) preferred
  • ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) preferred
