Float Registered Nurse — PACU/Preop Specialist

Job summary

Atlas-Healthcare-Partners-LLC is seeking a flexible RN to join a float pool serving several surgery centers in the West Valley/Phoenix area. You will assess, plan, implement, and document perioperative nursing care across patient populations in accordance with policies and professional standards.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and PACU/preop experience; PALS may be required for pediatrics. This position supports multiple sites and may involve relief charge duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU (i.e. ICU, ED)
• Licensed RN with no experience in PreOp/PACU and enrolled in Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
• New licensed RN enrolled in the Perianesthesia Academy with successful completion within 4 months.
• PRN: Minimum two years licensed RN experience in PreOp/PACU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and developmental domains.
• Formulate and revise care plans with patient/family input and multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate direct patient care and supervise activities of the care team.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and facility quality initiatives.
• Provide excellent service by upholding core and leadership behaviors.
