Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Nevada RN license is required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required; PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care or emergency department experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and reassessments per policy.
• Uses triage to ensure timely and appropriate care and correctly assigns triage categories.
• Educates patients and families on pain management and collaborates with physicians on changes in clinical condition.
