Job summary

Parkland Health Center, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across Med-surg, Tele, ICU and ED to support staffing and patient care demands.

The role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to quickly integrate into different patient care environments while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and patient satisfaction. This is a full-time, night-shift position.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Nursing diploma or associate degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care across Med-surg, Tele, ICU and ED as needed.
• Educates patients and families on illness, treatment and post-care needs.
• Promotes patient safety and quality; supports regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements and documents care plans with interprofessional team and family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
• Acknowledges safety-sensitive nature of role and maintains alertness.
