Job summary

Advocate Health’s Sheboygan Float Pool Registered Nurse role offers diverse clinical assignments across units, requiring adaptability and strong nursing judgement. You’ll provide patient-centered care and document in the EHR while engaging patients and families throughout the care continuum.

You will monitor conditions, respond to changes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in quality initiatives. BSN preferred; active RN license and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license; BLS required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Ability to adapt quickly across multiple care settings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care across multiple units, using nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and adjust care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
• Implement evidence-based practices and participate in quality initiatives and shared governance.
• Promote a culture of safety and maintain documentation in the electronic health record.
• May administer medications and therapies per established protocols.
• Adapt quickly to different units and patient populations, floating as needed.
• Support professional development and maintain certifications.
