Job summary

Stamford Health is hiring a Fulltime RN for the Float Pool on DAY SHIFT (13-hour shifts, 7am–8pm) with rotating weekends and holidays. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care within a Planetree-aligned culture and offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Position requires CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and a minimum of 2 years RN experience, ideally in acute care. This on-site role supports patient care coordination, supervision of non-RN staff, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Connecticut RN licensure is required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Maintaining 6 contact hours annually is expected.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.
• Supervise non-RN staff and act as a resource on the unit.
• Precept new staff and/or students as requested.
• Adhere to hospital policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Provide education to patients and families as indicated.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and document care.
