Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Staff RN Float for The Float Pool. The role covers multiple units with 7:00am–7:30pm shifts across 3-12 hour blocks, offering a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and comprehensive benefits under Prime Healthcare.

The position requires state RN licensure and acute care experience. Responsibilities include direct patient care, coordination with physicians, and teaching patients and families while maintaining standards of nursing care in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintained.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• One year acute care experience required.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to practice independently within 24 hours on the unit.

Responsibilities

• The Staff RN Float provides safe patient care using the nursing process across multiple units.
• Direct patient care and supervision of nursing staff as needed.
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians and document appropriately.
