Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care across multiple medical-surgical units. You will float between Surgical Short Stay, Oncology, ACE, Medical-Surgical, Orthopedic-Neuro, and Rehab units, providing compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience, Nebraska RN license (or compact), and be able to work 6:45am–7:15pm with 24 or 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required; ADN with within-5-years option considered with policy.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Nebraska RN license or compact multistate license to practice in Nebraska required.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire (BLS at time of hire).
• NIHSS certification training required by orientation.
• Specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across medical-surgical units per unit criteria.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and document findings.
• Develop and revise care plans with collaboration from the healthcare team.
• Implement safe, evidence-based nursing interventions.
• Evaluate patient responses and communicate changes to the care team.
• Maintain professional behavior and participate in quality improvement.
