Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Tennessee is hiring a Float Pool Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across shifts and units. You will assess patients on admission, perform procedures with documentation, and educate patients and families about treatment plans and medications.

The role requires an active RN license, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN in the state of practice or compact state.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses, documenting care.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient requests.
