Job summary

Mercy Health’s Richmond-based Nursing Float Pool seeks a registered nurse to float across departments and sites. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and teamwork to ensure continuous patient care.

Expect rotating shifts with 36 hours weekly; the RN will coordinate care, document accurately, and participate in ongoing quality improvement under supervision of a clinical manager. BLS and Virginia RN license required.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in the designated state of employment (Virginia).
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as per specialty.

Responsibilities

• Float to multiple departments and sites within the market as needed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care per standards.
• Coordinate nursing care and document interventions accurately.
• Collaborate with clinical managers and health-care team to improve quality.
