HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Internal Resource Team. The role covers Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and related units, delivering comprehensive nursing care across an adaptable, hospital-wide float framework.

The position emphasizes versatility, clinical assessments, and postoperative recovery, with a strong focus on maintaining patient safety and high-quality care in a top-ranked facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact with Texas licensing requirement within 90 days.
• Current BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• 1 year of Med-Surg RN clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Float to other areas in the facility within competency range as needed.
• Provide professional nursing care across Acute Inpatient Units.
• Develop and implement care plans including assessments and postoperative recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient flow.
• Prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and respond to requests quickly.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve conflicts.
