Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care across Acute Inpatient Units. This role supports medical-surgical, telemetry, and post-operative care, floating to units as needed within competency guidelines.

The position emphasizes versatility, collaboration with physicians and staff, and adherence to BON standards. Requires TX RN license and BLS; 1 year Med-Surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or compact license with Texas-licensing within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS from American Heart Association.
• 1 year Med-Surg nursing experience in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Float to other areas within competency range.
• Provide professional nursing care on Acute Inpatient Units including medical-surgical, telemetry, and post-operative care.
• Prioritize assignments and respond to multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to resolve issues and maintain operations.
