Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to high-acuity cardiovascular and critical care patients while floating across ICU, step-down, and related units.

• Provide ventilator management and support patients requiring advanced respiratory care.
• Recognize early signs of deterioration and initiate rapid, appropriate interventions.

Provide expert, compassionate care to high‑acuity cardiovascular and critical care patients while floating across ICU, step‑down, and related units.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring of clinical status.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring and titrate critical infusions (“critical drips”).
• Provide ventilator management and support patients requiring advanced respiratory care.
• Recognize early signs of deterioration and initiate rapid, appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and an interdisciplinary care team.
• Assist with procedures and coordinate care to support clinical decision‑making.
• Educate patients and families, communicating care plans with empathy and clarity.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection prevention practices, and accurate documentation.
