Job summary

GI Associates is seeking a float pool RN in Wisconsin to provide hands-on patient care while supporting multiple locations. The role emphasizes collaboration, confidentiality, and high-quality perioperative care.

You will be responsible for pre- and post-operative assessments, IV sedation administration under physician supervision, and timely charting. Travel to other GI Associates locations is required to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

  • Completion of accredited RN program.
  • Current RN licensure for the State of Wisconsin.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • ACLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Patient care first approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to other GI Associates locations as needed to support operational needs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle stressful situations with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with GIA and ancillary staff to uphold a safe, friendly work environment to optimize patient care.
  • Collaborates effectively to enhance patient care and foster a supportive team environment.
  • Maintains confidentiality pertaining to patient privacy.
  • Responsible for assessment and monitoring of the patient pre- and post-operative period.
  • Responsible for administration of IV conscious sedation under physician direction.
  • Complete medical documentation efficiently in a timely manner.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency care needs as per policy.
  • Coordinate pre-procedure calls to patients to collect data and assess procedure appropriateness.
  • Assist intra-procedure under physician direction.
  • Transport patients as needed.
