Purpose of Position: Under supervision, provides professional nursing care, within their designated acute care facility, as a Float Pool Nurse, to patients/clients in the following approved health care specialties within Acute Care: Emergency Department (Adults), Emergency Department (Pediatrics), Inpatient (Adults), Critical Care/Telemetry (Adults), Medical-Surgical (Adults). Diagnoses and treats responses to actual or potential health problems by means of nursing methods and techniques, such as case‑finding, health teaching, health counseling and provision of care supportive to and restorative of life and well‑being, while ensuring optimal utilization of resources, service delivery, safe patient care, and compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and NYC Health + Hospitals rules and regulations and nursing standards of care.
