Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience in the float pool specialties.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and discriminates signs and symptoms; performs essential nursing measures.
• Develops and evaluates the nursing regimen for assigned patients.
• Records and maintains nursing care plans and progress notes.
• Interprets patient responses to the health team.
• Provides teaching and guidance to allied nursing personnel.
• Maintains standards of nursing practice and participates in committees and projects.
