About This Role

The Float Pool Nurse provides professional nursing care within designated acute care facilities, delivering support to patients across various specialties. This role is ideal for nurses seeking a dynamic environment with diverse patient care experiences.

Highlights

• Pay: $119,867/year

• Facility: Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center
• Department/Unit: NURSING FLOAT POOL
• Schedule: Full-Time, Night (7:30A.M-8:00P.M)

What You'll Do

• Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the nursing regimen for assigned patients/clients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes on patients/clients.
• Interpret and report responses of patients/clients to appropriate members of the health team.
• Participate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan a comprehensive patient care program.
• Determine and assign components of the nursing regimen to allied nursing personnel.
• Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel in patient care.
• Participate in defining, implementing, and maintaining standards of nursing practice.
• Participate in departmental and interdisciplinary conferences related to nursing practice.
• Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education.

Requirements

Experience:

• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in New York State required.
