Job summary

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge is seeking a Float Pool Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge Nurse). You will provide clinical leadership across shifts, coordinating patient care and guiding nursing staff in practice and skill development.

The role emphasizes supervision, mentoring, and ensuring smooth unit operations with a focus on high-quality patient care and staff development within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license (or multi-state license).
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred in critical care units.
• BSN degree or in progress with 3-year completion target.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct patient care staff with delegation based on patient needs and staff competencies.
• Provide ongoing supervision regarding conflict resolution and policy compliance, including disciplinary actions.
• Teach, supervise and act as a resource for staff; assist with clinical procedures as needed.
• Support performance improvement activities aligned with the Hospital-wide program across shifts.
• Assign present and subsequent shift tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and coverage.
• Self-assign patients and functions based on needs and available resources.
