Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking Float Pool Licensed Practical Nurses to work full-time in a rotating schedule across three North Carolina centers: Siler City, High Point, and Lexington. You will deliver nursing care under an RN, participate in assessments, and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Required is graduation from an approved LPN program and current LPN license (or pending) with BLS/CPR as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical/vocational nursing program.
• Current LPN license or pending licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification as required by state practice.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, provide efficient nursing care and positive outcomes.
• Evaluate residents, observe condition, and report changes.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per orders.
• Supervise care provided by unlicensed staff.

Overview

Float Pool LPNs will work full-time, 8 week rotations at the following three North Carolina centers:

• Siler City Center (Siler City, NC)
• Meridian Center (High Point, NC)
• Abbotts Creek Center (Lexington, NC)

Experience in a Long Term Care setting is stronlgy preferred

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.

• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes in condition.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
