Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Medical/Surgical Float RN to provide patient care across Med/Surg, PCU, Critical Care, ED and more. You may also serve as sitter/companion and Health Unit Coordinator as needed, with 3/12 shifts, days and nights, plus weekend rotation.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, collaboration with the care team, and thorough documentation. Float incentives and shift differentials are provided.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Experience in acute care or critical care is preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts including days and nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates and implements a plan of care with goals in collaboration with patient/family.
• Implements and coordinates care, delegates appropriately, and communicates patient status to the team.
• Evaluates patient response to care and revises the plan as needed.
• Documents assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Contributes to quality initiatives and supports staff development.
