Job summary

Labcorp in Matthews, NC is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team and gain broad experience across clinics. The role involves venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and patient-centered service.

The position requires a high school diploma or phlebotomy training/certification and offers daily travel to multiple sites with a schedule Mon-Fri 7:00am–7:00pm and occasional weekends. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
