Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Annapolis, MD and surrounding areas. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, enter data, process billing where needed, and prepare samples for testing while maintaining logs and providing excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months experience; travel to multiple sites is expected, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
