Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team at the Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach offices in South Carolina. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages, prepare specimens for testing, and enter patient data accurately while delivering excellent patient service.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a phlebotomy certification or training, or 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
