Job summary

LabCorp in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across client offices in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. The role involves blood collections, specimen handling, data entry, and providing excellent patient service in multiple clinics.

The position requires a phlebotomy certification or training, a high school diploma, and at least six months of phlebotomy experience, with a preference for 1 year+ experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program.
• 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned
